White Sands district

The White Sands district of Bavaro, Punta Cana is located on the east coast of the Dominican Republic and is part of the Punta Cana resort area, which is famous for its white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean

White Sands area can be accessed from two different directions. From the main highway Punta Cana – Miches and also from the main street España in Bavaro. Thus, it won’t take you long to get to the center of Bavaro or Macao beach.

White Sands district

The White Sands neighborhood is one of the first residential areas of Bavaro. It is not without reason that the very first Plaza (shopping and entertainment center), which is still successfully operating today, is located here.

Upon entering this neighborhood, you will find:

Stores with local products
Souvenir stores
Cafes with local Creole cuisine
Beauty salons, barbershops and hair salons

In addition, there are several casinos, as well as local discos and sports bars. However, this neighborhood is one of the quietest, as the entertainment venues here, although within walking distance, are not in White Sands itself.

Conventionally, the neighborhood is divided into several parts. The central part is occupied by a golf course. Several hotels are located along the coast. The left side is now being actively built up.

This area is more often chosen for permanent residence, due to the fact that it is conveniently located and has on its territory all the necessary infrastructure. So, there are:

And perhaps most importantly, all residents of the White Sands district have free access to one of Bavaro’s most beautiful beaches, Playa de Arena Blanca. The coastline with white sand, azure ocean and shady palm trees will give you the feeling of a perfect tropical paradise, where time melts in the soft sand and the sounds of the waves create a harmonious melody, immersing you in an atmosphere of serenity and peace.
